About Me

FUN FACTS: In my 20+ years as a professional massage therapist I have massaged professional athletes and musicians, boxers, weight-lifters, cyclists, cancer survivors, AIDS patients, and clients of one of the most exclusive spas in Florida. I have been the highest requested therapist for the past five years in the spa where I work.  My clients include many hard-working, highly stressed people who have discovered the many benefits of regular massage therapy.

I used to be a music professor at University of North Carolina. (Thirty years of classical piano training have produced extremely strong, sensitive, long-lasting hands.)  I showed cattle, sheep, and horses when I was a child (which also contributed to development of hand strength).  I worked aboard a six-star cruise ship as a member of the cruise staff, managed the spa and gym, taught fitness and ballroom dance, and sang operatic recitals in the evenings.  I am a classical singer as well as a massage therapist. Many of my experiences have given me opportunities to travel throughout the world.

As always, professional development is important to me.  Currently, I am studying several modalities and writing a book to help massage therapists with cultural diversity.

My varied background has given me an expanded understanding of many cultures and the physical body, strong but sensitive hands, and a disciplined work ethic that insures that you will receive great massage therapy every time you are on my table.
